Paul Gough

Paul Gough has had a long and varied career in software analytics and related fields. Paul began their professional journey in 1981 as a Research Scientist at Rank Xerox Research. In 1982, they moved to Philips Research Labs in Redhill as a Principal Research Scientist. Three years later, they became a Group Leader at Philips Research, and then in 1995 they were promoted to Group Leader at Philips Research Laboratories in Redhill. In 2002, they were appointed CTO of Wearable Electronics at Philips Research. In 2004, they became a Product Manager at Philips/NXP and then in 2008 they joined Geotate as Senior Director of Product Management, where they were part of the original management team to spin out Geotate from NXP. From 2009 to 2010, they worked at u-blox as Principal Corporate Strategy and Manager of Application Engineering. Finally, in 2010 they joined Shih Chien University's Department of Fashion Design as a Visiting Assistant Professor and in 2022 they became Director of Software Analytics at Footfalls and Heartbeats (UK) Limited.

Paul Gough obtained a BSc 1st Class Honours Degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Leicester between 1978 and 1981. Prior to that, they attended Whitesmore Comprehensive in Chelmsley Wood, Birmingham.
