Nolan Bellavance has an extensive work experience in the fashion industry. Nolan started their career as an Assistant Designer at Le Chateau, where they participated in trend analysis and oversaw the entire design process. Nolan then interned at Opening Ceremony before joining Gap Inc. as a Design/Concept Assistant.
After that, Nolan ventured into entrepreneurship and founded their own brand, Bellavance. With funding and sponsorships, they created ready-to-wear collections that were showcased at NYFW in partnership with Milk Studios. Nolan managed all aspects of their small business, developed relationships with factories, and secured exclusive collection sales to Opening Ceremony worldwide.
Nolan then worked at The Elder Statesman as a Designer, collaborating with CFDA Fashion Fund winner Greg Chait on luxury cashmere knitwear and home collections. Nolan oversaw production and developed relationships with artisans and factories.
Nolan later joined Dutch, LLC as a Design Manager, implementing a PLM system for the entire umbrella of brands. Nolan optimized workflow and coordinated product development with factories, partnering with the Global Marketing team on special projects.
Nolan then worked at Fame and Partners as a Senior Designer, taking responsibility for designing and fitting monthly collections. Nolan collaborated with various teams, directed product and campaign shoots, and maintained relationships with Chinese vendors.
Nolan then joined CULT GAIA as a Senior Designer, before their current role as a Senior Designer at For Love & Lemons.
Nolan Bellavance attended Mount Royal University from 2004 to 2006, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Journalism. Following that, they studied at College La Salle from 2006 to 2008, specializing in Fashion/Apparel Design with a focus on Menswear, earning another Associate's degree. Finally, from 2009 to 2012, Nolan attended Parsons School of Design - The New School. Nolan graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Fashion/Apparel Design.
