Mike Cerchiaro has a strong background in forestry and investment management. Mike began their career at Rayonier as a Research Forester, where they conducted and analyzed silvicultural tests. In 2004, they joined Forest Investment Associates (FIA) as a Regional Investment Forester, responsible for managing timberland and alternative land use projects. Mike then progressed within FIA, holding roles such as Manager of Broad Arrow Timber Company and Unit Leader of the International Investment Unit. In these positions, they established and managed non-U.S. timberland investment platforms and developed organic capabilities within FIA. Most recently, Mike served as the Senior Vice President and Director of Investment Management, leading FIA's investment management team and overseeing the management of millions of forestland acres across the Americas.
Mike Cerchiaro earned their B.S. in Forestry from Virginia Tech, where they studied from 1993 to 1998. Following that, they pursued an M.S. in Forest Soils and Silviculture at Virginia Tech from 1998 to 2001. Later on, they attended the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, graduating with an M.B.A. in Finance in the years 2006 to 2008.
