Dawa Sherpa

Dawa Sherpa possesses extensive experience in program management and operations within nonprofit organizations focused on health, conservation, and development. Currently serving on the Leadership Council of the Forest Stewardship Council™ since 2021, Dawa has also been the Director of Programs and Operations at The Bhutan Foundation since 2008, overseeing program development in areas such as environmental conservation and healthcare. As a co-founder and President of the Greater Himalayas Foundation, Dawa advocates for humanitarian and conservation projects in the Himalayas. Previous roles include Program Officer for the Bhutan Health Trust Fund and involvement with UNDP's HIV/AIDS Program Management Unit. Dawa holds a Master of Science in Global and Community Health from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech.
