Murtaza Janoowalla

Murtaza Janoowalla is an experienced professional currently serving as the Innovation Manager at the Forest Stewardship Council™ since February 2023. Previously, Murtaza held the position of Senior Consultant at KPMG East Africa from February 2021 to January 2023, where responsibilities included strategic guidance and project management in various sectors. Before KPMG, Murtaza worked as an Associate at PwC from September 2017 to January 2021, providing similar strategic solutions. Murtaza is also the founder of SMDesigns, which developed multiple projects from January 2015 to August 2017. Early career experience includes an internship at Kenya Ferry Services Ltd and a role in engineering design at Fablab, focusing on affordable medical equipment for mothers and newborns. Murtaza began career pursuits as the IT Manager at Ezzi Traders Limited and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Nairobi.
