Alex MacLennan

Alex MacLennan currently serves as the Chair of the Northumberland Joint Local Access Forum since May 2021, leading a committee focused on inclusive access within Northumberland while collaborating with various agencies to promote tourism and rural employment. Additionally, Alex is a Volunteer Director/Trustee at Broomley Grange, managing grounds and woodland and aiding in strategic planning for the charity’s sustainability. In a longstanding role with the Forestry Commission, Alex has held multiple positions since 1987, including Recreation, Public Affairs Manager for Northumberland, where responsibilities include overseeing recreation facilities across various forest areas. Having a strong background in forest management and development, Alex's career began with training as a Youth Trainee and has evolved through various roles, emphasizing strategic planning, team management, and community engagement. Education was completed at Charleston Academy, Inverness, from 1983 to 1986.
