Russell Ruebner has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Russell started their career as an intern at The Omnicon Group in 2012, where they gained experience in systems engineering. In 2013, they worked as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Data Device Corporation.
In 2014, Russell joined Metro-North Railroad and held the roles of Equipment Engineer and Technical Supervisor. During their time at Metro-North Railroad, they served as a subject matter expert for electrical, electronic, software, and mechanical subsystems for all rolling stock fleet types. Russell was responsible for performing root cause analysis on train equipment failures and acted as the primary technical point-of-contact for rolling stock failures and maintenance issues in live revenue service operations.
Russell then transitioned to Alstom in 2022, where they worked as a Product Engineer. After completing their stint at Alstom, Russell was hired as a Technical Supervisor at Long Island Rail Road in 2023.
Russell Ruebner pursued their education at Stony Brook University from 2010 to 2014. During this period, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree with a focus on Electrical Engineering.
