Andrea Annibal

Senior Manager Proteomics & Analytical Services at Formo

Andrea Annibal has a wealth of work experience in analytics and bioanalytical chemistry. Andrea began their career in 2006 as a Bachelor-Student at Università degli Studi di Milano, where they studied the analysis of antioxidant components in human blood plasma and proteome analysis. In 2012, they completed their Ph.D. in Bioanalytical Chemistry at the University of Leipzig, where they optimized methods for the identification of novel modifications on phospholipids. From 2015 to 2022, they worked at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing as a Forscher (Postdoktorand), where they were responsible for the metabolomics/lipidomics platform and the development and optimization of gradients and methods for untargeted and targeted metabolomics. Most recently, Andrea has been working at Formo as a Team Lead Instrumental Analytics and Senior Scientist Analytics, where they have been planning and organizing an Analytical Platform, HPLC RP, SEC-MALLS, LC-MS, Proteomics using Q exactive and Nano Source, and protein quantification and protein characterization.

Andrea Annibal received their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Leipzig University in 2015. Prior to that, they earned their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biotechnology and Biomedical Technology from the Università degli Studi di Milano in 2011.
