Phd Student In Energy System Modeling at Research Center Julich

Johannes Behrens is a PhD Student in Energy System Modeling at Forschungszentrum Jülich since March 2022, following a role as a student research assistant at Leibniz Universität Hannover from October 2019 to January 2022, where collaboration included the modeling of the European energy system transformation and researching the European Gas Network. Previous experience includes an internship at BMW Group focused on the development of Li-Ion batteries, including overseeing energy storage operations and blockchain implementation for smart grid applications, as well as working student roles at MTU Maintenance and Leibniz Universität Hannover. Johannes earned a Master of Science in Engineering & Business Administration from Leibniz Universität Hannover after participating in a student exchange program at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering & Business Administration from Leibniz Universität Hannover.
