Nathaniel Stewart is an experienced animal keeper at Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, where since March 2015, responsibilities have included managing reptiles and amphibians in the Indonesian Rainforest section, providing husbandry and water chemistry analysis for Eastern Hellbender salamanders, and training animals such as Northern tree shrews and Komodo dragons. Additionally, Nathaniel has served as a secondary keeper for hoofstock and birds in the African Journey section, overseeing species including zebras, wildebeests, and various storks. Prior to this role, Nathaniel was a seasonal bat technician at Texas Christian University, involved in collecting data on bat and bird mortality at a wind farm. Nathaniel earned a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology from Purdue University in 2014.
