Clay Hutmacher

Clay Hutmacher has held various roles in the military, beginning with a Special Operations Aviator role in 1988 at the 1st BN, 160th SOAR. In 2006, they were Battalion Commander at the same company. Clay then moved to the Army Special Operations Aviation Command in 2012, where they were Commanding General. In 2014, they were Deputy Commanding General at the 2nd Infantry Division, Republic of Korea, and in 2015, they were Deputy Commanding General at the US Army Special Operations Command. In 2017, they were Director of Operations at the US Special Operations Command, and in 2018, they became President/CEO of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. In 2021, they were Director and Board Member at Fortem Technologies, and in 2022, they became Chairman at Capella Space Federal.

Clay Hutmacher obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University between 1988 and 1991. Clay then attended Navy Command and Staff College from 1999 to 2000, where they obtained a Masters of Science in Military Strategic Studies, General. In 2010, they attended Army War College and obtained a Master of Science (MS) in National Security Policy Studies. Finally, they graduated from Lake Stevens HS in 1977.
