Kyle Johnson

Kyle Johnson has a diverse range of work experience in the engineering and technology fields. Kyle is currently working as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Fortem Technologies since February 2023. Previously, from October 2018 to January 2023, they worked at Cricut as a Mechanical Engineer, where they contributed to the development of affordable and user-friendly cutting and drawing machines. Prior to that, from February 2016 to August 2018, they held the position of Mechanical Engineer 3 at BioFire Defense, focusing on designing machines for pathogen detection. From October 2012 to January 2016, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Jigabot, where they designed automated camera mounts. Additionally, from November 2009 to October 2012, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Grace Company, specializing in the design and manufacturing of tools and quilting frames. Kyle also gained experience as a Software Engineer at Boostability in June 2009, developing software for search engine optimization. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Teachers Assistant at Brigham Young University from June 2007 to April 2009, supporting mechanical engineering students with tutoring and grading. Kyle began their career as a Laborer/Operator at Rock It from May 2002 to September 2008, performing various construction tasks and operating machinery.

Kyle Johnson received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University, where they studied from 2003 to 2009. In addition to their degree, they also obtained certifications in Lean Six Sigma Foundations and SOLIDWORKS 2018 Essential Training from LinkedIn in September 2018.
