Scott Buell

Scott Buell is an experienced legal and corporate strategy professional currently serving as General Counsel and SVP of Corporate Strategy at Forter since October 2018, where responsibilities have included overseeing the Finance organization as Interim Head of Finance and managing the People organization during a maternity leave. Prior to Forter, Scott was General Counsel at MongoDB from May 2015 to October 2018, where responsibilities included leading the product counsel function and advising on various legal matters. Earlier in the career, Scott held positions as Senior Legal Counsel and Legal Counsel at MongoDB and worked as an Associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP from October 2009 to May 2015. Scott earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Columbia Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Government from Georgetown University.
