Neil Kirkpatrick has over 28 years of work experience in various technical roles. Neil started their career in 1993 as a Technical Support Engineer at HP, where they worked until 2000. Neil then moved to Agilent Technologies, where they served as a Technical Support Manager for 10 years.
In 2010, Neil joined JDSU as a Technical Support/Program Manager, a position they held for five years. Neil then transitioned to Viavi Solutions in 2015, taking on the role of Technical Support Manager until 2017.
In 2018, Neil joined Merkle EMEA as a Senior Data Engineer. In this role, they focused on the practical application of machine learning and computer vision techniques in the Cloud, specifically using Microsoft Azure. Their responsibilities included training computer vision models, developing and deploying data processing pipelines, and working with various machine learning frameworks.
Currently, Neil is working at Forth Point as a Lead Data Engineer, a position they started in September 2022.
Neil Kirkpatrick completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Hons in Computing Science from the University of Glasgow from 1984 to 1988. Neil then pursued a Master's degree in Electronics from Edinburgh Napier University between 1991 and 1992. Most recently, in 2017 and 2018, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Big Data from the University of Stirling.
