Sen Yang

Sen Yang has extensive experience in software engineering, currently serving as Senior Director of Software Engineering at Fortinet since July 2011. Key contributions include designing and developing software for the Linux-based FortiOS system, with a particular emphasis on networking protocols and network security. Notably, Sen co-designed the high-performance FortiGate 7000E product and led the development of two-factor authentication capabilities for FortiToken Mobile. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Polytechnic Institute of New York University, focusing on mobile security and network analysis. Additional software engineering roles at H3C Technologies Co. and Harbour Networks involved implementing network protocols and maintaining access management systems. Sen holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Polytechnic Institute of New York University and a Bachelor’s degree from Nankai University.
