Kaleh Karim, Ph.D. is currently a Professor at Tennessee State University and FORTIS Colleges and Institutes. Previously, Kaleh was involved in groundbreaking research at Vanderbilt University that led to the discovery of a BMP receptor inhibitor. As a student intern at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Kaleh worked on genome sequencing of Aspergillus Fumigatos. Additionally, as a research student at Agnes Scott College, Kaleh studied the effects of mutating mck1 using C. Elegans as a model organism. Prior to these research positions, Kaleh was an after school tutor and summer camp counselor at Refugee Family Services. Additionally, Kaleh served as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Tennessee State University while completing their graduate studies.
