Ville Halonen has a diverse work experience spanning across different roles and companies. Ville began their career at Metso Paper in the year 2000 as a System Development Manager. Ville then progressed to become the Manager of Project Functions, where they were responsible for overseeing project engineers, IT, project estimation, resource planning, and documentation. In 2007, Ville joined Metso as a Sourcing Manager before moving on to become the Country Manager, Indirect Procurement, and later the Director of Global Sourcing, Indirect Procurement. Ville worked on various category strategies, contract negotiations, operational excellence, benchmarking, supplier surveys, and process development. Ville then transitioned to Finnair in 2014, where they served as the Vice President of Procurement and Facilities. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Corporate Procurement and Real Estate at Fortum.
Ville Halonen earned their MSc in Engineering from LUT University from 1991 to 1997.
