Job Description:
Fortune Media is a distinguished provider of trusted business, tech, finance news and publisher of many best-of lists, such as the Fortune 500 ranking, 100 Best Companies and The Most Powerful Women list. Fortune’s print, digital and conferences platforms are a resource to business leaders and as a result capture hard to reach audiences and provide valuable B2B messaging platforms.
Fortune’s sales team is cultivating a new entrepreneurial team to build and deliver opportunities for companies to leverage digital and print assets and is looking for an eager, talented, and dynamic seller to join the team.
Key Responsibilities:
o Engage Fortune 1000 companies as sales prospects
o Showcase suitable solutions and opportunities
o Secure appointments with key business decision makers through cold calling, networking or other means of booking meetings
o Conduct calls to introduce and pitch Fortune digital assets as solutions
o Track all activity, notes and follow up activities in the company CRM
o Move prospects forward through the sales process to close and renewal
o Act as primary contact for Fortune to communicate relevant and important information to assigned Fortune 1000 companies/clients
o Coordinate with marketing, account management and activation teams to sell and deliver on campaigns
o Maintain a full activity calendar of prospective business and create a robust pipeline in order to hit sales goals
Qualifications:
o Excellent communication skills
o Ability to overcome objections in real time
o 2-3 years minimum in a sales role where cold calling was a primary task
o Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, social networking platforms and CRM tools
o Experience developing new business relationships in a sales role
o Strong understanding of lead generation and ability to connect with viable prospects
o Comprehension of KPIs and goals of clients campaigns
o Positive attitude with the willingness to learn and grow and build in new product stages
o High energy and passion for the job
o Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably with Fortune 1000 companies
o Familiarity with the media landscape, including digital, print, and branded content key
o Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt to changing market demands
o Flexible and creative
o Digital media savvy
o Bachelor's Degree

Total Compensation Range: $125,000 - $150,000
