Richard Denson has held a variety of roles in the performing arts and operations industries since 2011. In 2011, they were a Dance Instructor at Viper All-Stars, where they coached and instructed dancers on the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport. In 2012, they were a Camp Instructor at Elite Cheerleading, where they ensured a high quality and enjoyable camp experience for cheerleaders. From 2017 to 2018, they held three roles at three different organizations: Director of Performing Arts at Young Educated Determind to Succeed Inc., Artistic Director at stubbornMVMT, and Company Coordinator at Bloodline Dance Theatre. At Bloodline Dance Theatre, they managed the calendar and coordinated correspondence between artistic and administrative staff. From 2018 to 2019, they held four roles at two organizations: Operations Manager and Operations Associate at BAX | Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Activity Specialist at Manhattan Youth, Front Of House Manager and Front Of House at FORWARD__Space. At BAX | Brooklyn Arts Exchange, they acted as direct support to the Senior Manager of Operations, acted as a liaison between the BAX Core Administrative Staff and Front Desk Staff, processed financial reports, and assisted with After-School Pick-Up from neighboring schools. At Manhattan Youth, they taught students a wide range of skills pertaining to the activity. Lastly, in 2018 they were a Work Study Student at Mark, where they anticipated customer and store needs, assisted with new partner training, delivered legendary customer service, and followed Starbucks operational policies and procedures. In 2013, they were a Shift Supervisor and Barista at Starbucks, where they assisted with new partner training, contributed to a positive team environment, and acted with integrity, honesty, and knowledge.
Richard Denson earned a Bachelor's Degree in Dance Performance from LIU Brooklyn between 2013 and 2019.
