Courtney Schauer

Courtney Schauer has had a varied and extensive career in the fields of debate and marketing. Courtney began their career in 2010 as the Head Coach - Policy Debate for the Minnesota Urban Debate League, where they coached the 2016 national champions and instructed students in public speaking. In 2011, they joined Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben, P.A. as an Office Assistant/Receptionist, handling paperwork, filing, and managing incoming phone calls. In 2013, they moved to Walsh & Gaertner, P.A. as a Marketing and Media Specialist and Receptionist/Administrative Assistant, managing social media profiles, designing and producing content for the launch of a new website, and planning community events and press releases. In 2016, they began working at the College Preparatory School as a Debate Coach, instructing students in vital research, critical thinking skills-building exercises, and persuasive argumentation development. That same year, they joined Emporia State University as an Assistant Director of Debate, working with students to set and achieve competitive and academic goals. In 2021, they joined the University of Oregon as a Forensics Operations Manager, researching, communicating, and reporting travel logistics for debate, forensics, and mock trial team members. Courtney is currently a Customer Success Representative at Foundation AI.

Courtney Schauer completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government from the University of Minnesota in 2013. Courtney then went on to pursue a Post-Baccalaureate in Psychology from UC Berkeley Extension, which they are currently completing in 2021.
