Iftah Burman

Iftah Burman is a seasoned national security professional with extensive experience leading missions and providing analysis on Israeli security issues for the Foundation for Defense of Democracies since March 2011. As a Middle East geopolitical specialist at the Middle East Learning Academy, Iftah delivers briefings and tours focused on critical regional topics. Previous roles include serving as a tour educator for Shorashim and as an independent tour educator for Taglit-Birthright Israel, where engagement with young Jewish students was emphasized. Iftah also managed a mentoring project with Perach, overseeing student and underprivileged youth pairings. Academic credentials include a PhD in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from Bar-Ilan University, an M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies from Tel Aviv University, and a B.A. in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies from Ariel University Center.
