Satyajit Jena

Satyajit Jena is an experienced professional in social and ecological development with over two decades of expertise. Currently serving as Senior Programme Manager at the Foundation For Ecological Security (FES) since 2009, Satyajit played a crucial role in establishing operations in Maharashtra and developing a local team. Previous roles include significant contributions to various NGOs, such as pioneering landscape planning for MGNREGA in Odisha and leading advocacy initiatives for land rights with Ekta Parishad. Satyajit's early career involved coordinating health projects in collaboration with traditional healers and establishing educational programs in tribal regions. Satyajit holds a Master's degree in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, graduating in 1998.
