Kevin Dargatz is currently the Sr. Product Marketing Manager at Fountain. Prior to joining Fountain, Kevin was the Competitive Strategy Manager, Product Marketing at Zendesk from January 2018 through December 2020. In this role, Kevin was responsible for executing competitive go-to-market (GTM) strategy as Zendesk expanded their customer base from mid-market to enterprise level organizations across the globe. Kevin led a series of programs to research the competitive landscape, author sales and marketing positioning tools, and enable client-facing teams to win competitive deals. Win rates increased 5-8% during Kevin's tenure against key competitors (sometimes much more! Occasionally a bit less).
In addition to their responsibilities around competitive strategy, Kevin also provided quarterly competitive positioning and M&A target reports to our executive team. One large initiative of Kevin's was reconciling our product roadmap with sales and marketing insights. Those teams don't typically get along, but Kevin was able to make it work, mostly due to their dedication and hard work.
Before joining Zendesk, Kevin was the Chief Of Staff at TriVest - Trium Investments (Pty) Ltd from January 2016 through December 2017. Kevin began their professional career as an MBA student at IESE Business School from January 2015 through December 2017 where they obtained a bilingual degree.
