CTO and Co-Founder at Four Growers

Dan Chi has worked in various positions since 2015. Dan began as a Sales Representative at Target in 2015. In 2016, they became the President of Pitt Hydroponics and the Community Outreach Coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh. Dan also worked as a Mechanical Engineer at FOX IV Technologies, Inc. from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, they became the CTO and Co-Founder of Four Growers, Inc. and an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering. At Four Growers, Inc., Dan Chi built the technology, business plan, sales channels, advisory networks, hiring processes, accounting, and company structure. At FOX IV Technologies, Inc., they designed multiple custom end effectors, industrial motorized stands, and macro label sensors. At the University of Pittsburgh, they founded Pitt Hydroponics with the mission to better the community with hydroponics technology and led the organization from first founding to a 40 member student group. Dan also collaborated with the Community Health Service Food Pantry, and Oasis Food Project to provide students with the technical and organization skills to design and build hydroponic systems for the local food pantries and community.

Dan Chi attended the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering from 2014 to 2018, where they received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. In 2018, they also attended Y Combinator.
