Thea Simpson

Thea Simpson has a diverse range of work experience. Thea is currently working as an Accounting Controller at FOUR20 since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at EY from 2015 to 2023, starting as a Staff Accountant and progressing to roles such as Senior Accountant, Manager, and Senior Manager in External Audit. Thea also had a brief role as a Tea Guide at DAVIDsTEA in 2015. In addition to their professional experience, Thea was involved in various leadership roles at the UBC Commerce Undergraduate Society, serving as Vice-President for both Academic Affairs and Internal Affairs from 2013 to 2015. Thea also worked as a Fund Accountant at UBC Portfolio Management Foundation from 2013 to 2014. Thea gained teaching experience as a COMM457 Teaching Assistant at the Sauder School of Business at UBC from September to December 2013. Furthermore, they held positions at Nexen as an SAP Solution Center Summer Student in 2012 and 2013. Lastly, Thea was actively involved in the UBC Finance Club from 2011 to 2013, serving as Co-President and Director of Events: Informational. Thea organized speaker series, workshops, mock interviews, and company visits for UBC students. Thea's early experience includes being a Lead Teaching Assistant and a Teaching Assistant for CPSC110 at UBC's Computer Science Department from 2011 to 2012.

Thea Simpson attended The University of British Columbia from 2010 to 2015, where they pursued a degree in Accounting and earned a BCOMM qualification.
