Koroma Ranita is an experienced academic and entrepreneur currently serving as a Lecturer at Fourah Bay College - University of Sierra Leone since October 2020. As a Co-Founder and CEO of Planning Green Futures sl limited, Ranita has been instrumental in driving initiatives focused on sustainability since July 2012. Additionally, as an Environmental Social Safeguards Consultant for Freeland, Ranita provides consultancy services to various sectors, focusing on climate change, gender issues, and coastal management. Previously, Ranita worked as a GBV and WATSAN nurse supervisor for Medicines Sans Frontiers and the International Rescue Committee, delivering environmental health services and overseeing sanitation in refugee camps. Ranita's educational background includes ongoing PhD studies in Blue Economy, Governance and Resilience at the University of Cape Coast Ghana, an MSc in Global Environment and Sustainability from Birkbeck, University of London, and an MPhil in Marine Science from Fourah Bay College, among other qualifications.
