Katie Martz, DPT, MHA has a diverse work experience in the field of physical therapy. Katie started their career as a Student of Physical Therapy at Central Pennsylvania Rehabilitation Services (CPRS) in 2013, where they gained experience in orthopedic outpatient settings and worked with various patient populations.

Katie then completed clinical rotations at Waccamaw Community Hospital, WellSpan Health, and Penn State Hershey Rehabilitation Hospital, where they gained experience in acute rehabilitation and acute care settings. During these rotations, they developed skills in handling techniques, transfers, therapeutic exercise, bed mobility, gait training, and discharge planning.

After completing their education, Katie worked as a Physical Therapist at CPRS Physical Therapy from 2014 to 2016, where they focused on outpatient physical therapy for community-based clients. Katie gained experience in orthopedic injuries, neurological diagnoses, and post-operative patients. Katie was responsible for evaluation, risk recognition, creating plans of care, performing medical billing, and tracking G-codes for each patient.

From 2016 to 2018, Katie worked as a Clinical Liaison at Kindred Healthcare. In this role, they were part of the business development team for acute rehabilitation. Katie performed chart reviews to evaluate patient appropriateness for acute rehabilitation and advocated for optimal functional independence. Katie also educated and marketed to healthcare professionals to encourage referrals.

Katie then transitioned to the role of Account Manager in 2022. In this role, they are responsible for providing clinical education to various healthcare providers and organizations, supporting team members in networking events and trade shows, and assisting clinicians with communication to referral sources.

Katie Martz, DPT, MHA, pursued a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology at Widener University from 2008 to 2012. Following this, they attained a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the same institution, studying from 2011 to 2014. In 2017, they enrolled in Saint Joseph's University, where they completed a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management in 2021.
