Paul Ross McWhirter

Paul Ross McWhirter is a Senior Research and Development Engineer at FP McCann Ltd, specializing in developing automated computer vision and intelligent decision-making systems for the precast concrete industry. Previously, Paul Ross worked as a Computer Vision Engineer KTP Associate, focusing on quality assurance and control in precast concrete construction. Before that, Paul Ross was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias, studying variable stars. Paul's expertise also includes working as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at Liverpool John Moores University, where Paul Ross contributed to the development of a Machine Learning pipeline for natural conservation. Paul holds a PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics, an MS in Computer Science, and a BS in Astronomy and Astrophysics.
