Justin Aiken

Justin Aiken has over 9 years of work experience in software engineering and technology roles. Justin is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at Framebridge since October 2020. Prior to that, they worked at UserTesting for 5 years from October 2015 to October 2020 as a Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead.

In 2015, Justin also served as an Interim Chief Technology Officer at Health Hero. During their tenure, they successfully overhauled the quality of legacy codebases, processes, and infrastructure. Justin made significant contributions such as rebuilding servers using Chef, introducing load balancing, setting up a CI/CD workflow, and greatly improving the code quality through the addition of tests and resolving security issues.

Before Health Hero, Justin worked at Rocketmade as a Senior Rails Engineer from June 2014 to July 2015. Justin'sresponsibilities included working on various applications for different clients, greenfield projects, maintaining existing projects, and writing APIs for different platforms.

In their early career, Justin worked at Mojo Lingo LLC as a Voice Application Developer from March 2013 to June 2014. Justin also worked at LogMyCalls as a Rails Developer from February 2012 to March 2013. At LogMyCalls, they played a key role in rewriting and maintaining the primary call engine, introducing TDD and Git workflows, and handling deployment and server configuration.

Justin Aiken holds a Master's degree in Communication from Southern Utah University, which they obtained in 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Sound Recording Technology from Brigham Young University in 2010. Additionally, Justin Aiken has obtained a certification as a Private Aircraft Pilot from the Federal Aviation Administration.
