Martijn Bergink

Martijn Bergink has extensive work experience in various roles within the engineering and maritime industry.

Martijn started their career at Alfa Laval in 2002 as a Sales Manager, responsible for sales and marketing of custom-designed capital equipment. Martijn then progressed to become the Sales Director, handling sales, marketing, and engineering for a range of products.

In 2012, Martijn took on the role of Managing Director at Alfa Laval, where they focused on the growth and development of the Business Center Nijmegen. Martijn contributed to creating a healthier and safer environment for those working on ships or living in coastal areas.

In 2017, Martijn transitioned to the position of President BU Boilers and Gas Systems at Alfa Laval. In this role, they developed the global growth strategy for the business unit, which encompassed marine and industrial boilers, gas systems, and related services. Martijn led cross-functional teams located in Europe, Asia, Brazil, Dubai, Singapore, and Australia to engineer, sell, and service energy-efficient and sustainable systems.

Since 2019, Martijn has been serving as the CEO of Framo and President BU Pumping Systems. Martijn oversees cargo, offshore, and environmental pumping solutions. Framo's hydraulically driven submerged cargo pumps provide safe, efficient, and flexible cargo handling for various types of cargo.

Throughout their career, Martijn Bergink has demonstrated strong leadership, vision, and expertise in driving growth strategies, developing sustainable systems, and establishing strong customer relationships in the engineering and maritime industry.

Martijn Bergink has a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Amsterdam, earned from 1993 to 1996. Prior to that, from 1988 to 1993, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Saxion University of Applied Sciences. Martijn also completed various executive education programs, including Leadership Development at Hult Ashridge in 2007-2008, Business Strategy and Marketing at Hult Ashridge in 2006-2007, and Negotiation at Vlerick Business School in 2007-2008.
