Nanette Garcia-Thomas

Nanette Garcia-Thomas is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in education and entrepreneurship. For nearly four decades, Nanette has served as a Special Education Teacher, Resource Specialist, ELD Facilitator, and California English Language & Literacy Trainer at Franklin-McKinley School District. Additionally, Nanette is the owner of Nanette's Special Merchandise, which offers a diverse selection of gifts, including a focus on locally sourced, fair-trade products. As Chairperson of the Loma Environmental Education Program for Science, Nanette promotes sustainability and ecological awareness within the community. Nanette's academic background includes a Master of Arts in Special Education and Teaching, a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, and an Associate of Sciences in Park Management, with ongoing education at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and West Valley College.
