Gwen L. Shaneyfelt

Gwen Shaneyfelt is an accomplished financial executive with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, tax strategy, and corporate finance. With a career spanning over three decades, Gwen currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer in the Office of the CFO/COO at Franklin Templeton, leading M&A due diligence and integration efforts, including the significant acquisition of Legg Mason in 2020. Previously, Gwen chaired the Tax Committee at the Investment Company Institute, where leadership resulted in the enactment of Mutual Fund Tax Modernization legislation. Prior roles include serving as Executive Director at Morgan Stanley and Senior Tax Manager at KPMG, focusing on tax matters for financial services clients. Gwen holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University and an Associate degree from Rock Valley College, along with executive education from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
