Cheung Lam has a strong background in the energy industry, with experience in various roles and companies.

In 2004, Cheung worked as a Spanish/Chinese Translator and Executive Assistant to the CEO at Confortuna S.A, where they provided translation services and managed the CEO's schedule and travel arrangements.

From 2007 to 2009, Cheung served as a Student Ambassador at Brookdale Community College, delivering time-sensitive documents and providing customer service to students, faculty, and community members.

In 2010, Cheung joined Rutgers University as an Electrical and Computer Automation Student Leader for the Solar Decathlon 2011 project. Cheung led a team in building a futuristic solar house from design to finish and successfully fundraised over $2 million in in-kind and cash donations.

Cheung then joined Petra Solar in 2011, initially as an R&D Electrical Engineer Intern for the DOE SEGIS Project, where they supported the SEGIS Conference and designed and presented a solar energy grid integration demonstration setup. Cheung later became an Associate R&D Engineer (inverter) and was responsible for driving the design and construction of a test bed for the SEGIS project, resulting in a $3 million research contract from the DOE. Cheung also implemented an enhanced algorithm for inverter design that significantly improved voltage regulation using reactive power injection. Additionally, Cheung led the construction of a micro-grid solar station as a donation to the Thomas Edison National Historical Park and received the Luminary Award for outstanding performance and publication.

From 2013 to 2015, Cheung worked as a Senior Product Engineer at Archtech Electronics Corp., where they provided technical support and managed design projects, resulting in significant cost savings and increased sales revenue. Cheung also managed government contracts and initiated the GSA application process.

Cheung then joined Astrodyne TDI in 2015 as an Application Engineer, where they contributed to pre-sales and post-sales activities.

From 2016 to 2019, Cheung worked at Huawei Technologies as the Director of Channel Sales and Director of Product. In these roles, they were responsible for channel sales and product directorship.

In 2019, Cheung joined Ginlong Solis USA as the Head of Utility Business, overseeing utility business operations.

Most recently, Cheung co-founded FranklinWH Energy Storage Inc. in 2020, where they serve as the Co-Founder and General Manager (US). Cheung led the design of the FranklinWH aPower system, successfully penetrating major distribution channels within six months of product launch. Cheung is currently seeking industry partners to integrate with the FranklinWH system.

Cheung Lam started their education at Jefferson High School, but the duration of their studies and any degree obtained is unknown. Following high school, they attended Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral in 2004, where they studied telecommunication and electrical engineering. After that, they enrolled at Brookdale Community College from 2006 to 2008, earning an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration. Subsequently, from 2006 to 2009, Cheung Lam pursued another Associate of Science degree in Engineering at the same institution. Finally, from 2009 to 2011, they attended Rutgers University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
