Heather Copeland, PMP

Heather Copeland, PMP has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Heather started their career at Dewberry as a Hydrographer in 2001 and worked there until 2003. In 2003, they joined MDA Information Systems LLC as a Geospatial Analyst and held various positions such as 3D Model Analyst and Senior Geospatial Analyst until 2019. Starting in 2016, they also worked at Maxar Technologies as a Project Manager and Senior Geospatial Analyst. Heather'smost recent role is as a Program Manager at Fraym, which they started in November 2021. Heather's experience is primarily focused on the geospatial industry and they have displayed their project management skills throughout their career, earning their PMP certification.

Heather Copeland, PMP has a Master's degree in Professional Studies in Geospatial Information Sciences from the University of Maryland, which they obtained from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Earth Systems Science and Geospatial Analysis from George Mason University, graduating between 1997 and 2001.

In addition to their formal education, Heather has obtained various certifications to enhance their professional skills and knowledge. Heather completed the course "Improving Your Leadership Communications" from LinkedIn in July 2021. In the same month, they also gained proficiency in AWS through the courses "Introduction to AWS for Non-Engineers: 1 Cloud Concepts," "Introduction to AWS for Non-Engineers: 2 Security," "Introduction to AWS for Non-Engineers: 3 Core Services," and "Introduction to AWS for Non-Engineers: 4 Billing and Pricing." Heather also completed the "SharePoint: Site Customization" course in June 2021 and the "Agile Foundations" course in April 2021. Additionally, they obtained the "Unconscious Bias" certification from LinkedIn in September 2020.
