Peter Sam

Peter Sam is an experienced research aide at UCSF Health, contributing to the Clinical and Translational Science Institute through advocacy for health equity and ethical AI use in research, while also co-authoring academic manuscripts. Sam's roles include serving as a research advisor for the YMCA of San Francisco, focusing on ethical consultation in research design, and as assistant director for Medical First Aid For Youth, managing training sessions and grant resources. Additionally, Peter is the founder and executive director of SF Food Rescue, leading initiatives that have saved over 8,000 pounds of food from waste. Other experiences include mentoring with FRC Team 4159 CardinalBotics and coordinating programs at the San Francisco Public Library, with a strong educational background in dual enrollment programs across various institutions.
