Frank Schmitz

Frank Schmitz is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in immunology, microbiology, and translational medicine. Currently serving as an Affiliate Investigator CRD and Director of Translational and Molecular Medicine at Fred Hutch since July 2019, Frank also provides scientific advisory services at NLPCore. With prior roles as a Principal Scientist at Celgene and Senior Scientist at Seattle Biomedical Research Institute, Frank has led research teams and developed computational tools for proteomics analysis, collaborating on various immunological projects. Frank's academic involvement includes a position as a Privatdozent at Technische Universität München and past lectureships in medical microbiology, virology, and infectious diseases. Educational credentials include a Habilitation in Immunology and multiple MD degrees, demonstrating a solid foundation in medical and laboratory sciences.
