Melissa Lawson

Melissa Lawson has extensive experience in accounting, currently serving as Controller at Fred Smith Company since May 2016, having progressed through various roles including Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, and Cost Accountant. Prior roles include Staff Accountant at Corvias Campus Living (2015-2016), Accountant at RDU Paving (2014-2015), and multiple positions at Golden Corral Corporation from 2001 to 2014, culminating as General Ledger Accountant/GCD Construction Accountant. Melissa holds a Master of Science in Accounting from Strayer University (2019-2021) and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Accounting with a minor in Finance from Strayer University (2010-2013).
