Corey Wilson

Director of Customer Success at FreeAgent CRM

Corey Wilson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Starting in 2004, they worked as a Web Development/Graphic Design professional at a company called R, where they developed a web portal for WestJet and created identity materials for Reggin Industries Residential Steel Division. In 2006, they joined Star Choice Communications as a Technical Development Specialist. In 2008, they moved to Shaw Communications as a Development Specialist, where they facilitated technical training sessions and collaborated with departments to refine training materials. Corey then joined Apple in 2009 and took on the role of Lead Genius and later Manager. At Apple, they achieved significant results in revenue increase and repair time reduction while also leading store openings across Canada and China. They took a mini-retirement in 2020 to spend time with family before joining Absorb Software as the Manager of Client Advocacy. In this role, Corey expanded the team globally and played a key role in the company's growth. Currently, Corey serves as the Director of Customer Success at FreeAgent CRM.

Corey Wilson has a strong educational background with a focus on communications, design, and business administration. They obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Athabasca University, where they studied from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, Corey completed a Diploma in New Media and Design at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology from 2002 to 2004. They also obtained a Diploma in Business Administration from Lethbridge Community College, where they studied from 1999 to 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Corey has pursued various certifications to enhance their skillset. They have obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, such as Managing Project Stakeholders, Project Management Foundations (Integration, Quality, and Schedules), Agile Foundations, Agile at Work (Building Your Agile Team, Driving Productive Agile Meetings, Planning with Agile User Stories, Reporting with Agile Charts and Boards), and Project Management for Creative Projects. Corey also completed a Business Writing Principles course in January 2020.
