David R. Shannon

David R. Shannon is the current president at Freed-Hardeman University. Prior to their current position, Shannon served as a preacher at the Mt Juliet Church of Christ from August 1999 to May 2017. Before their time at the church, Shannon worked at the East Gadsden Church of Christ in Gadsden, AL from February 1991 to August 1999. Shannon's career began at Timothy Hill Children's Ranch in Riverhead, Long Island, New York where they worked from May 1989 to February 1991.

David R. Shannon graduated from Hickman County High School and then went on to study finance and minor in Bible at Freed-Hardeman University.
