Aaron Terry

Aaron Terry has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Aaron is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at Freedom Consulting Group, LLC since August 2022. Prior to that, they held the same position at Marathon TS from August 2020 to August 2022.

Before joining Marathon TS, Aaron worked at Blackspoke as a Sr. Python Engineer (DevOps/Elastic) from October 2019 to August 2020. Their responsibilities included maintaining and improving the performance of existing software code, designing and updating software databases, and writing test scripts in an agile software development environment.

From July 2018 to October 2019, Aaron worked at OGSystems as a Software Developer/Systems Integrator. Aaron was part of the Aero Cloud Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) team, supporting the modernization and migration of aeronautical systems and data. Their responsibilities included technical assessment, recommending approaches for utilizing infrastructure and platforms, and migrating Aero capabilities onto modern platforms.

Prior to that, Aaron worked at Integrity Applications Incorporated as a Software Developer from October 2010 to November 2013. Aaron developed a government geospatial data analysis tool, which involved parsing/creating GMM formatted XML files, validating input and output file formats, developing photogrammetric algorithms, and creating a user interface.

Aaron also has experience as a Software Engineer at NJVC from October 2008 to October 2010, where they served as a technical lead on projects related to Aeronautical Information Exchange Model (AIXM) development. Aaron worked as a Software Engineer at L-3 Communications from March 2007 to October 2008, providing software engineering and database administration support.

In addition, Aaron worked as a Programmer at SAIC from September 2004 to February 2005. Aaron was responsible for ColdFusion development and had strong knowledge of SQL server, Oracle databases, JavaScript, HTML, and IIS server.

Aaron's earlier work experience includes roles such as CND Analyst at Lockheed-Martin, Scott AFB from June 2002 to September 2004, where they conducted research and analysis on Computer Network Defense (CND) threats. Aaron also worked as an Intelligence Analyst in the U.S. Army Reserve from January 2003 to June 2004, developing and administering personnel security databases.

Aaron Terry has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Management and Information Systems from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, which they obtained from 2013 to 2015. Aaron also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Management and Information Systems from the University of Southern Illinois, which they acquired from 2005 to 2010. Prior to that, they pursued Computer Science courses at the University of Maryland from 1997 to 1999 and Central Texas College in 1997. In terms of additional certifications, Aaron obtained an Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in December 2022, a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in March 2015, and an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification in November 2018.
