Viren Sharma

Viren Sharma is a seasoned electrical engineering professional with extensive experience in project management and technical leadership within the electrical design sector. Currently, Viren serves as a Senior Partner and Technical Director at Freedom Electrical Design Services since March 2008, overseeing the delivery of major design projects. Previously, Viren held a Principal Engineer role at Freedom, focusing on power system studies and protection schemes for high voltage substations and wind farm projects. Viren’s career includes significant positions at WAPCOS Limited and Rajasthan State Electricity Board, where responsibilities encompassed project feasibility studies, engineering design, and commissioning of substations across various countries. Viren began the professional journey as a Site Engineer at Punjab Electric Industries and later contributed to Shree Cement Ltd in tender engineering and project supervision. Educational qualifications include a B-Tech in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, obtained in 1994.
