Lara Shegoski

Lara Shegoski has extensive work experience in various fields. Lara began their career as a Cadet in the Army ROTC, where they planned and led physical training sessions and training exercises. Lara also participated as a leader in multiple field training exercises.

After their time in the Army, Lara worked as the Head Facility Scheduling Manager at Johns Hopkins University, responsible for scheduling student staff during facility hours. Lara then joined UBS as part of the Wealth Management Associate Program.

Lara's next role was at Johns Hopkins University School of Education, where they served as a Baltimore Fellow at Henderson Hopkins Elementary School. Lara developed and implemented student assessments, analyzed data, and delivered daily lessons based on common core standards.

Lara then transitioned to a role as an ESE Instructor and Coordinator at Bay Haven Charter Academy, where they coordinated intervention planning and developed IEPs for students. Lara evaluated students' academic and social growth and maintained necessary records.

Lara then worked at Amazon as an SR. HRA, and later joined Horizons Hampton Roads, Inc, where they held a role in Human Resources and Administration.

Lara also gained experience in the education sector at Freedom Learning Group, where they worked as a Subject Matter Expert and Content Auditor.

Currently, Lara is employed at K12, holding positions in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition, as well as in Related Services and Human Resources.

Lara Shegoski's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from The Johns Hopkins University, which they obtained from 2010 to 2014. Lara then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Baltimore Fellowship- School of Education from The Johns Hopkins University, which they completed from 2016 to 2017. Lastly, Lara Shegoski enrolled at Northwest Missouri State University, where they pursued an EdS degree in Education Administration and Leadership. This degree is ongoing, starting with an unknown start year and expected to be completed in 2021.
