Joe Slaughter

Joe Slaughter has extensive experience in leisure management, currently serving as General Manager at Freedom Leisure since May 2023, where notable achievements include reopening the swimming pool after a two-year closure. Prior roles include leading over 100 staff at the Stour Centre for Ashford Borough Council and overseeing operations following significant investment. Joe has also contributed as a Centre Manager and Duty Manager across various facilities, focusing on community service and operational excellence. In addition to managerial roles, Joe volunteers as a Trainer/Instructor for Hastings Voluntary Lifeguards, teaching lifesaving skills, and previously held leadership positions with 1066 Swimmers. Educational qualifications include a Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Sport from Bexhill College.
