Richard Carter

Richard Carter is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in teaching public services and sports-related subjects. Currently a lecturer at Varndean College since September 2012, Richard also serves as an athletics coach and founder of Withdean Athletics Academy. Previously, Richard held a lecturer position at City College Brighton and Hove for eight years, covering BTEC Public Services and Sports Leaders programs. Richard’s career also includes experience as a newsagent owner and an area manager for JD Sports, overseeing multiple locations across Southern England. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Recreation and Leisure Facilities Management, as well as a PostGraduate Certificate of Education from Loughborough University.
