Deborah Axt

Deborah Axt serves as the Senior Vice President of Community and Worker Power at THE JPB FOUNDATION since February 2024. Previously, Deborah operated as the Principal Consultant at Axt Strategies from August 2021 to February 2024, focusing on executive coaching and consulting for social justice organizations. Deborah also held an academic position as a Clinical Professor at NYU School of Law from September 2010 to September 2022. In prior roles, Deborah contributed as Co-Executive Director and Deputy Director of Make the Road New York, the largest immigrant rights organization in the state, from June 2002 to April 2021. Deborah holds a JD from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Iberian Studies from Vanderbilt University, along with certification as a Coaching for Transformation Certified Coach from Leadership that Works India.
