Jay Pearson -

Jay Pearson has extensive work experience in software engineering and management roles. Jay is currently the VP of Software Engineering at FreedomPay, a position they have held since June 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Software Engineering at FreedomPay from June 2019 to June 2021.

Before joining FreedomPay, Jay worked at Sage as the Director of Software Engineering from September 2014 to April 2019. At Sage, they managed a team of 60 software engineers, quality assurance engineers, QA automation engineers, business analysts, and DevOps engineers. Jay also played a key role in transitioning the company's payroll and HR management solution from a datacenter hosted solution to MS Azure, implementing multi-region hosting for high availability and scalability.

Prior to their role at Sage, Jay worked at PayChoice as a Development and QA Manager from July 2012 to September 2014, where they designed and implemented a new payroll onboarding module. Jay also served as a Development Manager at PayChoice from November 2010 to July 2012, overseeing the implementation of Visual Studio Team System and the migration from Visual Sourcesafe to Team Foundation Version Control.

Earlier in their career, Jay worked at Philadelphia Insurance Companies as an IT Manager from March 2006 to October 2010. Jay also gained valuable experience in various software development roles at different companies from June 1998 to January 2006.

Prior to that, Jay completed the "Planning and Releasing Software with JIRA" certification in July 2019 and the "Learning Python for Data Science, with Tim Fox and Elephant Scale" certification in May 2019.
