James Spitzer

James Spitzer is an experienced supply chain management professional currently serving as Vice President of Supply Chain Management at Freeport-McMoRan since July 2022. Prior to this role, James held various positions at Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde S.A.A., including Global Supply Chain Manager and Logistics and Contracts Manager, where contributions were made to the expansion of Cerro Verde's concentrator facilities, significantly increasing copper and molybdenum production. Earlier experience includes positions at Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc., where oversight was provided for procurement and materials management for major projects, and roles at Fluor and INKABOR SAC, focusing on supply chain and procurement. James holds a Master's degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas, along with a Postgraduate Diploma from Universidad ESAN and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Catolica de Santa Maria.
