Michael Lam

Michael Lam has over three decades of experience in metallurgy, currently serving as Manager Metallurgy at Freeport-McMoRan since April 2008. Prior to this, Michael held various positions, including Senior/Chief/Project Metallurgist at Porgera Joint Venture from July 1999 to March 2008 and Senior/Chief Metallurgist at PT Freeport Indonesia from January 1995 to January 1999. Michael's early career includes roles as Process Engineer at Westmin Resources Ltd. and Junior Metallurgist at Noranda Mines. Michael earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Metallurgical Engineering from Queen's University in April 1990.
