Vahid Zahraeifard, PhD, has a diverse range of work experience in various engineering roles. Vahid is currently working as a Sr Engineer/lead at Freese and Nichols since December 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Engineer at Atkins from January 2017 to December 2022. In 2021, they worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at both Omdena Nigeria Chapter (from November to December) and Omdena (from May to July). Before that, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2016. Vahid also has experience as a Project Engineer at Leonard Jackson Associates from November 2013 to December 2016, where they specialized in hydrologic and hydraulic studies for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Vahid worked as a Professional Engineer at Louisiana State University from August 2008 to March 2013. Prior to that, they were a Civil Engineer/Water Resources Engineer at a private company from May 2007 to August 2008, where they focused on various water resources projects, such as river restoration, flood control, and hydraulic structure design. Vahid began their career as a Researcher at Shiraz University from September 2003 to September 2006.
Vahid Zahraeifard, PhD, obtained their Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Tabriz in 1999. Vahid then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Engineering from Shiraz University, which they completed in 2006. In 2008, Vahid attended Louisiana State University, where they earned both a Master's degree in Engineering (completed in 2011) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Engineering (completed in 2013).
In addition to their educational achievements, Vahid Zahraeifard has obtained two certifications. In April 2016, they earned the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the State of California. Furthermore, in October 2013, they obtained the Certified Food Manager (CFM) certification from the Association of State Floodplain Managers, Inc. (ASFPM).
