Miguel Ángel Vargas Herranz

Miguel Ángel Vargas Herranz has held a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2006. From 2006-2009, they were a Controller at Citigroup, where they were responsible for verifying concordances of high security international databases and managing backup copies for subsequent auditing. From 2009-2010, they were the IT Responsible at Alcosalud XXI, where they were responsible for getting the IT equipment as good as new and developing the clinic website. From 2010-2011, they were a Senior Web Developer at MatchPoint Comunicación, where they were responsible for development (Backend/Frontend), leadership as a project manager, and support in several PHP projects including MySQL database architecture development and support. From 2011-2016, they worked at IntegralCom as a Web Developer, where they were responsible for development and support in several PHP projects including MySQL database architecture development and support. From 2016-2017, they worked at sngular as a Backend Senior Developer, where they were responsible for development in several PHP 7 projects, native and with frameworks like Laravel 5.4, Symfony 3 and Slim. From 2017-2020, they worked at Isobar as a Full-stack Senior Developer/Project Manager, where they were responsible for developing and leading several projects in some of the latest PHP Frameworks like Laravel or Symphony for companies like DEOLEO, CBRE, Vodafone, Google or the L'Oréal group. From 2020-present, they have been working at Frenetic as VP of Engineering and Head of Web team. In their roles, they work closely with the CTO, other teams managers, and their team peers to plan every milestone from the definition to the deployment. Miguel Ángel also helps create and maintain the codebase, sets high standards between the team peers, and is responsible for project planning, resource management, dependency management, risk management, and continuous process improvement. Miguel Ángel also recruits, mentors, and coaches the web team members, plans and helps to develop the first Frenetic Online SaaS MVP, and plans and makes the best SaaS infrastructure. Additionally, they have worked at NexPlayer as a Senior Software Developer Web, where they were responsible for auditing and optimizing the company player SDK, and auditing the backend API in Azure Function App. Miguel Ángel also developed a new NodeJS, Express JS API with Azure Cosmos DB as the data have.

Miguel Ángel Vargas Herranz began their educational journey in 1990 at Colegio Los Sauces, completing their Primaria, ESO y Bachillerato by 2006. In 2006, they began their studies at The University of Wolverhampton, where they earned a HND in Computing (Software Engineering) in 2008 and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Computing in 2009, with a focus on Informática, inglés, and diseño.
